Building Security Guard

Job Title: Building Security Guard
Location: Pinnacle Bank Arena
Department: Operations
Reports To: Security Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Under general supervision of the Security Manager, patrols assigned areas and protects patrons and property.
  • Tour post periodically to ensure safety of patrons, staff, vendors, participants and others on premises.
  • Handle any disturbances or problems that arise during event or at the facility.  If necessary, escort disruptive individual(s) to security office and/or off the premises.
  • Write incident reports and meet with security manager to review procedures.
  • Inspect alarms and fire extinguishers/sprinkler systems to ascertain they are set to operate.
  • Inspect premises for signs of intrusion or tampering.
  • Tour facility, examining doors, windows and gates to ensure they are secure.
  • Assist with crowd control inside and outside of premises.
  • Control unusual circumstances and events during fire, storms, riots and other emergencies.
  • Respond immediately to emergency situations -- answer alarms and investigate disturbances.  
  • Act in a professional manner with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons and others encountered in the course of employment.
  • Document all shipping and receiving.
  • Keep record of all keys and other facility equipment that are signed out.
  • Work part-time extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Demonstrate knowledge of security issues related to a major sports and entertainment venue.
  • Handle conflicts, make common sense decisions and exercise proper action during high tension and stressful situations.
  • Meet the physical demands of this job, which include being able to get in and around the facility, lifting 50 pounds,  extensive walking to patrol all parts of building including all stairwells, climbing and moderate to loud noises.
  • Operate equipment such as light trucks, Gator, pallet jacks, forklifts, genie lifts, carts fire extinguishers or other light power driven equipment.

The Concessions Stand Lead operates the concession stand in accordance with ASM Global policies and procedures and is responsible for providing a quality product to patrons in a courteous, friendly and efficient manner; utilizing our Guest Service Standards and Responsible Alcohol Service in all transactions.

Essential Functions

  • Enforces ASM Global/Savor policies and procedures
  • Completes inventory counts prior to an event
  • Assigns associate duties
  • Conducts pre-shift meetings
  • Monitors production levels
  • Must adhere to the ASM Global dress code which includes wearing black pants and non-slip soled closed toe shoes

Summary

Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION


  • Under general supervision, responsible for cleaning and waste/trash disposal of an assigned area. Maintain all areas inside and outside of the building including but not limited to restrooms, hallways, arena attic, locker room, sidewalks, parking landscape, both during an event and nonevent times. This includes but is not limited to replenishing supplies, sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal and sorting, vacuuming, washing, lawn work, snow and ice removal. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain the general building and ground in a safe and clean manner.
  • Perform cleaning and janitorial tasks as required or assigned. 
  • Empty trash and wastebaskets. 
  • Transport trash and waste to proper disposal areas, and sort recycling as needed.
  • Operate custodial equipment and other related equipment as required.
  • Set-up & tear-down of tables and chairs for events.
  • Assist with event clean-up.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies.
  • Clean and sanitized other public areas around the premises.
  • Assist with snow and ice removal.
  • Assist with landscape maintenance.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Summary

  • ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for Environmental Services Lead for ASM Global/Pinnacle Bank Arena. This position is responsible for the overall cleanliness of ASM Global -Lincoln. The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Help oversee the cleanliness of the facility, assist & supervise the Environmental Services Department, direct and train part-time labor, upkeep and maintenance of related housekeeping equipment, and exterior grounds maintenance, both during an event and nonevent times. This position will require working nights, most weekends & some holidays. Must be able to work around large crowds. Position will require the ability to walk up and down stairs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain the cleanliness of the Arena and exterior grounds through cleaning and direction of part-time labor
  • Keeps EVS supervisor and manager informed on the department
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, representatives, patrons, and others while working. 
  • Upkeep and maintenance of housekeeping equipment
  • Checks supply closets to ensure supply is stocked and organized.
  • Check par levels of supplies – inventory single use products – PT TP etc.

  • Assure company policies and enforces safety regulations according to MSDS, local & federal laws are being met 
  • Assist with ongoing event needs.
  • Assist operations department related tasks as needed. (Event set up and tear down)
  • Check temp labor staff in/part time staff in & assign job duties and locations at start of each shift
  • Set up equipment up for part time staff

  • Participate in all aspects of the conversion process in preparation for events (setting up and tearing down flooring, portable chairs, barricades, staging, tables, other furnishings and equipment).
  • Perform varies duties to ensure the day-to-day operations of the facility are met including, but not limited to, loading/unloading delivery trucks, transporting trash and waste to proper disposal area and replenishing supplies.
  • Report irregularities, discrepancies, safety or damage concerns or loss of property promptly to Operations Supervisor.
