Alcohol Compliance Officer

POSITION: Alcohol Compliance Officer
DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt Hourly

POSITION SUMMARY

  • The Alcohol Compliance Officer ensures that all local and state of Nebraska liquor laws are followed at Pinnacle Bank Arena, Pinewood Bowl, and other ASM Global venues.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recognize and react to alcohol violations and get assistance as needed.
  • Work during alcohol events at Pinnacle Bank Arena, Pinewood Bowl, and other ASM Global venues.
  • Observe and report any policy violation of ASM Global staff and non-profit groups. 
  • Report guest issues to the Manager on Duty.
  • Check ID of persons drinking alcohol if they appear to be under the ages of 35.
  • Actively walk the Arena floor during events to monitor that the allowed number of alcoholic beverages is being purchased by patrons.
  • Follow rules and serving regulations set forth by the State of Nebraska and Pinnacle Bank Arena.
  • Communicate activities at the end of the shift to the Manager on Duty.
  • Reports to Concessions Manager or Manager on Duty for assigned location(s).
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Concessions Manager or Manager on Duty.

DUTIES & SKILLS

  • Good communication skills required.
  • Greet guests in a friendly manner and be professional at all times.
  • Ability to handle money and make correct change.
  • Ability to move quickly in a safe manner.
  • Stay calm under pressure.
  • Neat and clean and well-groomed appearance. 
  • Minimum age 19 years of age.
  • Ability to obtain Responsible Beverage Server training, General Alcohol permit and Serve/Safe (City Alcohol permit within two months of hire.
  • Bartending experience required.

Assistant Box Office Manager

Job Title: Assistant Box Office Manager

Position Summary      

  • The Assistant Box Office Manager under general direction of the Box Office Manager (BOM) acts as the liaison between the Box Office Manager, staff and the general public.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise all full and/or part-time box office personnel.
  • Assist in managing box office night of show activities.
  • Contact with promoters on a daily basis in absence of BOM.
  • Assist in building shows in the ticketing system.
  • Train staff on ticketing system and other aspects of ticket operations. 
  • Assist in the supervision, training and motivation of employees. 
  • Prepare payroll time records for box office personnel.
  • Prepare work schedule for part-time employees.
  • Assist in communications with promoter(s), Director of Finance and Director of Sales & Marketing to obtain updated event schedules and provide ticket sales information.
  • Set-up ticketing and coordinate sales for events at PBA and PWBT.
  • Coordinate the house sale for all ticketed events while supervising tickets sellers.
  • Prepare and consolidate bank deposits of sales receipts.
  • Directly responsible for vault funds, cash advances, promoter advances, and denominations needed for ticket sales.
  • Coordinate ticketing and settlement in absence of the Box Office Manager.
  • Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Recognize and solve related problems efficiently and rapidly while handling a large volume of tickets and cash.
  • Operate standard office equipment including copier and fax machine.
  • Handle/reconcile large sums of money utilizing prescribed cash management controls.

  • Follows Concession Manager/Supervisor’s assignments for opening procedures and food preparation

The Environmental Service Attendant reports to the Environmental Services Supervisor and is primarily responsible for cleaning, waste/trash disposal and snow and ice removal.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain restrooms and/or areas of the facility before, during, and after events.
  • Perform cleaning and janitorial tasks as required or assigned.  These include, but not limited to, replenishing supplies, sweeping, mopping, dusting trash removal, vacuuming, washing and waxing.
  • Empty trash and wastebaskets.  Transport trash and waste to proper disposal areas.
  • Make minor repairs such as painting, patching and replacing light fixtures and filters, when applicable.
  • Set-up & tear-down of tables and chairs for events. 
  • Assist with event set-up, tear-down and clean-up.
  • Clean restrooms and replenish supplies.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Washes dishes, glassware, pots, pans, flatware, and kitchen items, using dish machines or by hand
  • Places clean dishes, utensils and cooking equipment in storage areas
  • Cleans work area including equipment, floors, walls and cooking area
  • Ensures that all levels for sanitizer on dish machine and pot sinks are at specific requirements for health standards
  • Keeps all kitchen wares storage areas clean and orderly
  • Removes trash from dish room and transports to the dumpster and cleans and sanitizes garbage cans 
  • Stocks supplies such as food, dishes, and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators and salad bars

The Sous Chef reports to the Executive Chef.  The role of the Sous Chef is to prepare culinary delights for the guests and owners and execute the menu, ensuring a high level of performance, guest satisfaction and profitability.  Guest satisfaction revolves around the food appearance, high quality of the food and overall dining experience. The Sous Chef is responsible for the daily preparation of food items in all areas of the kitchen.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Comply with Standards of Service and assist in assuring the same from all kitchen employees.
  • Assists in managing a day-to-day operation of the kitchen, coordinating food production schedules and ensuring highest level of food quality, taste and presentation.
  • Participates in actual food preparation, produces food with consistently high quality, taste and presentation and expedites during peak meal periods as needed.
  • Controls food cost by assisting in training kitchen staff on the proper methods of food preparation and handling, by training kitchen, restaurant and steward employees on how to handle leftover food items.
  • Ensures  that  all  kitchen  employees  consistently  adhere  to  uniform,  grooming  and appearance standards.
  • In conjunction with the Executive Chef, establishes goals for the kitchen, anticipates and resolves problems concerning all facets of the kitchen, anticipates trends, enacts approved profit-oriented and cost saving ideas and activities.
  • Establishes and requires strict adherence to health department and company sanitation and food handling guidelines.
  • In conjunction with the Executive Chef, develops menus & creates and ensures adherence to recipes and product specifications.  Trains kitchen staff on all new menus.
  • The Sous Chef must maintain effective communication within the kitchen, be responsive to staff suggestions and concerns and work to resolve problems
  • Maintains effective working relationship with food and beverage management, kitchen, concessions, suites, and catering departments.
  • Conducts regular inspections of the entire kitchen/dishwashing areas and coolers and promptly acts to correct deficiencies found during inspection.
  • Responsible for training of part time kitchen staff.
  • Responsible for supervising part time kitchen staff.

  • Intermediate understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.

  • As a Sous Chef you will be expected to work with Associates to ensure satisfaction. A Sous Chef will have to take initiative and get creative in resolving challenges and involve a Manager only when previous methods have been unsuccessful.
