Alcohol Compliance Supervisor

JOB TITLE:    Alcohol Compliance Supervisor
LOCATION:    Pinnacle Bank Arena, Pinewood Bowl, Other SMG venues
DEPARTMENT:     Food & Beverage
REPORTS TO:     Concessions Manager
FLSA STATUS:    PT Hourly, Non-Exempt    

The Alcohol Compliance Supervisor ensures that all local and state of Nebraska liquor laws are followed at Pinnacle Bank Arena, Pinewood Bowl and other SMG venues.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Recognize and react to alcohol violations and get assistance when needed.
  • Work during alcohol events at Arena, Pinewood Bowl or other SMG venues.
  • Observe and report any policy violation of SMG Savor staff and Savor non-profit groups.
  • Report guest issues to Manager on Duty.
  • Check ID of persons drinking alcohol if they appear under the age of 35.
  • Actively walk arena floor during events to monitor that the allowed number of alcoholic beverages are being purchased by customers.
  • Follow the rules and regulations of SMG Food and Beverage.
  • Follow rules and serving regulations set forth thru the State Of Nebraska and Pinnacle Bank Arena.
  • Communicate activities at the end of shift with Manager on Duty.
  • Reports to Concessions Manager or Manager on Duty, for assigned location.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by Concessions Manager or Manager on Duty.

Qualifications

They must have prior bartending experience, be self-motivated and be able to stand for long periods of times. Candidates must be able to pass a short bartending test. Candidate must be personable and guest service driven

Electronic Technology Manager

SMG, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for a Technology Manager at Pinnacle Bank Arena. The Technology Manager reports to the Director of Operations, under general supervision, and 
Over sees the operations of Information Technology, Telecommunications, Audio Visual and Broadcast Services.  This position also manages the day to day department operations, event technical production, budgeting and maintenance of various technical systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Includes the following.  Other duties may be assigned.
  • Supervise full-time, part-time, contractual technicians, stagehands, computing and telephony staff.  Properly schedule staff to cover facility operating hours in an efficient and effective manner.  Assign specific work tasks and monitor progress as to timeliness and quality of results.
  • Develop training programs that insure that all staff members are proficient in operating and maintaining computer and phone systems.
  • Develop training programs that insure that all department members are proficient in operating and maintaining lighting, sound, audio-visual, computer and telephony equipment.
  • Maintain department employee records; and provide group and individual counseling related to department goals and objectives, planning sessions, project updates, department performance reviews, individual performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
  • Attend Operation staff meetings.  Develop and maintain a harmonious working relationship with all of the other departments.  Provide meaningful and beneficial input into the facility master-scheduling procedure.
  • Develop, implement, document and maintain effective facility maintenance policies, procedures and programs. To include P.M. on all lighting, sound, computer, wireless, structured cable, scoreboard, video display boards and ribbons, IPTV distribution and other facility audio-visual equipment. 
  • Oversee and provide cause for proper control and care of lighting, sound, computer, wireless, structured cable, scoreboard and audio-visual equipment and manage inventories of supplies, spare parts, shop tools and equipment.
  • Oversee and provide cause for proper control and care of all life safety materials that are used in stage rigging.
  • Prepare and provide to the management team specific reports and documents.  To include, but not limited to, work schedules, payroll documents (time card tabulations and approvals), subordinates performance appraisals, purchase request orders, department operating budget, capital improvement budget projects, special project reports, updates and/or recommendations, and event reports. 
  • Oversee related contracted maintenance agreements.  Assist in developing bid specifications, renewal agreements, and manage all other related items to insure that acceptable and quality performance levels are achieved. 
  • Coordinate Event Management Staff to facilitate lighting, sound, computer, telephone and audio-visual needs of the clients. 

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Position requires ability to:
  • Demonstrate knowledge in operational procedures, facility capabilities, industry terminology, event-related services and technical requirements for the types of events anticipated at the facility, in particular the methods, techniques and procedures to repair and maintain all computer and phone related materials.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university and six years related experience and/or training or equivalent professional work experience.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of full-time work related experience in the public assembly industry (stadiums, arenas, and/or or convention centers).
  • Experience with Cisco Networks and Cisco Connected Stadium Systems preferred.
  • SBE technical certification (Certified Broadcast Television Engineer) or ability to certify after hire date

Operations Crew Member

JOB TITLE: Operations Crew Member

The Operations Crew Member reports to the Operations Supervisor and is primarily responsible for performing work as needed to clean, maintain and prepare for events at the facility.  Duties include skilled and semi-skilled tasks, which often require heavy lifting and a high degree of physical exertion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in all aspects of the conversion process in preparation for events (setting up and tearing down flooring, portable chairs, barricades, staging, tables, other furnishings and equipment).
  • Perform varies duties to ensure the day-to-day operations of the facility are met including, but not limited to, loading/unloading delivery trucks, transporting trash and waste to proper disposal area and replenishing supplies.
  • Assist with pre/post event cleaning and janitorial tasks including, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, vacuuming, spot cleaning, washing, stripping, carpet cleaning, window washing and waxing.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks such as painting, patching, re-lamping, replacing ceiling tile, replacing filters, etc.
  • Report irregularities, discrepancies, safety or damage concerns or loss of property promptly to Operations Supervisor.
  • Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrate knowledge of typical methods and techniques for cleaning and maintaining the facility, and proper use and care of hand and power tools.

Suite Runner

POSITION: Suite Runner
LOCATION: Pinnacle Bank Arena
DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage
REPORTS TO: Premium Services Manager
FLSA STATUS: PT Hourly, Non-Exempt

The Suite Runner works with servers to deliver food and beverage orders from kitchen to guest, in accordance with Company’s Universal Service Standards and applicable Operational Standards

Essential Functions

  • Delivers orders from kitchen to guest in an efficient and timely manner
  • Completes opening and closing side work as assigned
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor and manager
  • Assist dessert carts with restocking/serving of desserts during event
  • Bus suites, with the suite attendant’s approval, taking empty dishes to the kitchen
  • Must adhere to the SMG dress code which includes black pants and non-slip soled closed toe shoes

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent guest service skills; ability to adhere to Company’s Universal Service Standards
  • Ability to multi-task in many different areas and work with a sense of urgency in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to follow job procedures and supervisor instructions

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and remain stationary for entire length of shift
  • Ability to complete required pre-employment food and alcohol service training
  • Constant walking, bending, reaching and repetitive motions
  • Ability to perform normal lifting of stock, up to 50 pounds

Education and Experience

  • No experience required; 6 months to 1 year of restaurant or banquet hospitality experience preferred
