Building Security Guard

JOB TITLE:  Building Security Guard
REPORTS TO: Security Manager
FLSA STATUS: PT Hourly, Non-Exempt    

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for a Building Security Guard.  This position under general supervision of the Security Manager patrols assigned areas and protects patrons and property.  This position works 12:00am (midnight) to 8:00am Sundays meaning you arrive around 11:30pm on Saturday night and work until 8:00am Sunday morning.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Tour post periodically to ensure safety of patrons, staff, vendors, participants and others on premises.
  • Handle any disturbances or problems that arise during event or at the facility.  If necessary, escort disruptive individual(s) to security office and/or off the premises.
  • Write incident reports and meet with security manager to review procedures.
  • Inspect alarms and fire extinguishers/sprinkler systems to ascertain they are set to operate.  Inspect premises for signs of intrusion or tampering.
  • Tour facility, examining doors, windows and gates to ensure they are secure.
  • Assist with crowd control inside and outside of premises.
  • Control unusual circumstances and events during fire, storms, riots and other emergencies.
  • Respond immediately to emergency situations -- answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
  • Act in a professional manner with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons and others encountered in the course of employment.
  • Document all shipping and receiving.
  • Keep record of all keys and other facility equipment that are signed out.
  • Work part-time extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Must be able to pass background and credit check.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Demonstrate knowledge of security issues related to a major sports and entertainment venue.
  • Handle conflicts, make common sense decisions and exercise proper action during high tension and stressful situations.
  • Meet the physical demands of this job, which include being able to get in and around the facility, lifting 50 pounds,  extensive walking to patrol all parts of building including all stairwells, climbing and moderate to loud noises.
  • Operate equipment such as light trucks, Gator, pallet jacks, forklifts, genie lifts, carts fire extinguishers or other light power driven equipment.
  • Operate a personal computer using Windows and Microsoft Office software.
  • Operate portable radio and standard office equipment including copier and fax machine.
  • Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with other in both oral and written form.
  • Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.
  • Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons and others encountered in the course of employment.
  • Be licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle in the United States.
  • Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Security experience preferred.
  • Bi-lingual is beneficial.  
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required and must be 19 years of age or older.

Concessions Attendant

POSITION: Concessions Attendant
DEPARTMENT: Savor….Food & Beverage
REPORTS TO: Concessions Manager
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt Hourly

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has excellent and immediate openings for Concessions Attendants at the Pinnacle Bank Arena and Pinewood Bowl. The Concessions Attendant reports to the Concessions Manager and operates the concession stand in accordance with ASM Global's policies and procedures and is responsible for providing a quality product to patrons in a courteous, friendly and efficient manner and utilizing our Guest Service Standards and Responsible Alcohol Service in all transactions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Follows Concession Manager/Supervisor’s assignments for opening procedures and food preparation
  • Prepares food and beverage items using proper procedures and sanitation guidelines
  • Is cost-conscious, does not over-portion and records all waste
  • Keeps work area and equipment neat and clean
  • Properly cleans equipment and follows the Concession Manager/Supervisor’s closing instructions
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent guest service skills; ability to adhere to Universal Service Standards of proper grooming and appearance are crucial
  • Ability to complete required pre-employment food and alcohol service training
  • Effective communication skills; ability to communicate with coworkers and guests and receive orders
  • Ability to work effectively with others
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and remain stationary for the entire length of shift
  • Constant walking, bending, reaching and repetitive motions
  • Ability to perform normal lifting of stock, up to 50 pounds

Environmental Working Conditions

  • May be exposed to variable temperatures, including extreme hold and cold, depending on the season
  • May be required to work in confined and/or narrow spaces 

Education and Experience

  • Previous food service experience preferred
  • Must be at least 19 years of age and able to pass a credit check

Concessions Cook

POSITION: Concessions Cook
DEPARTMENT: Savor….Food & Beverage
REPORTS TO: Stand Manager / Supervisor
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt Hourly

The Cook prepares and serves hot and/or cold food items, in accordance with ASM Global's Universal Service Standards and applicable Operational Standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Properly prepares, measures, and portions all food items in a timely manner. 
  • Complies with all quality standards, department rules, policies and procedures
  • Utilizes and sets up kitchen equipment to prepare food items
  • Packages all products to proper specifications    
  • Performs opening, closing and side work duties as instructed 
  • Keeps workstation and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked
  • Uses waste control guidelines and records all waste on spoilage sheet
  • Must adhere to ASM Global's dress code which includes wearing black pants and non-slip soled closed-toe shoes.
  • Performs other duties assigned 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to read and understand food orders.
  • Pleasant and friendly. 
  • Ability to communicate with others and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attentive and detailed oriented and capable of following procedures and taking directions
  • Basic math skills; ability to understand, calculate and follow basic measurements and proportions
  • Maintain a valid food handler permit required by the Department of Health.

Physical Requirements

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to cut, prepare burgers, drop and lift fry baskets.
  • Ability to lift and carry to 50lbs 
  • Ability to move rapidly and coordinate multiple orders
  • Frequently required to reach up to 6-7 feet, twist at the waist, bending and squatting
  • Pushing and pulling occasionally, to move equipment, mops, and brooms
  • Kitchen environment – noise levels may be moderate to high
  • Works frequently in a hot and damp environment
  • May be exposed to variable temperatures, including extreme hot and cold, depending on the season

Education & Experience

  • High school education is desired.
  • 6 months to 1-year previous food service experience desired.
