Cash Room Attendant

POSITION: Cash Room Attendant
DEPARTMENT: Savor….Food & Beverage
REPORTS TO: Concessions Manager

SMG, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has excellent and immediate openings for Cash Room Attendants at the Pinnacle Bank Arena. The Cash Room Attendant reports to the Concessions Manager and is responsible for maintaining the overall integrity of cash control functions including all cash handling procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Controls and records all cash issued to point of sale cashiers
  • Counts currency, coins and prepares event deposits
  • Report to the Concessions Manager’s cash needs and discrepancies of cash transactions
  • Establish and maintain positive client relationships
  • And all other duties as assigned

Catering Captain

POSITION: Catering Captain

The Catering Captain reports to the Catering Manager and oversees all Catering Functions to include, coffee breaks, buffets, plated and reception events; any and all functions serving any food & beverage items.  Also to ensure that the assigned events and activities are organized and executed resulting in the complete satisfaction of the guests attending the event.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Participates in training of all servers.
  • Assists in maintaining and organizing all banquet equipment, cleanliness, regular inventories and annual maintenance.
  • Must be creative in designing buffets and event décor.
  • Attention to detail and consistency in every aspect of service is a must.
  • Position is very hands-on with extensive interaction with clients and employees.
  • Ensures all signage is properly displayed for each and every event
  • Fulfilling the service per each Banquet Event Orders (BEO), as well as Catering Department Service Standards.
  • Daily communication with Catering Manager and Catering Staff. Frequent contact with Event Services Department staff, The Director of Food & Beverage, Executive Chef, Culinary Team and other Arena employees.
  • Ensuring all relevant and applicable paperwork is filled out correctly.
  • Reports to functions and events prior to serving staff to help organize and plan execution of event.
  • Assigning duties to banquet staff, supporting banquet captains and other staff to specific job responsibilities and events/functions.
  • Assists in the preparation of the area or room in its entirety for a function or event, prior to the guest’s arrival.
  • Ensures space is cleaned after event and equipment is cleaned and stored properly.
  • Execute event from beginning to end.
  • Act as Manager on duty in absence of Catering Manager during events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Concessions Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY

Oversees operation of assigned concessions outlets, supervises concessions associates and non-profit volunteers if applicable, in accordance with the Company’s Universal Service Standards and applicable Operational Standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervises and coordinates activities of concession associates on a per shift basis, including scheduling, training, counseling and enforcing work procedures and service standards.
  • Observes, evaluates and documents job performance of stand attendants, stand leads and assists with stands personnel performance.
  • Inspects all stands and portables in the assigned area.
  • Ensures that all equipment is set up properly and operating efficiently and accurately.
  • Ensures all stands, portable carts and surrounding areas remain clean, sanitized and safe.
  • Analyses and resolves all problems with associates, guests and the operations with the assistance of Management.
  • Cashes out associates following cash handling procedures; investigates “over and shorts” with stand leads and volunteer groups.
  • Estimates requests and inspects supplies and inventory.  
  • Ensures accuracy of all deliveries.
  • Adheres to and enforces inventory and labor control measures.
  • Performs opening and closing procedures for assigned area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assists concession associates in serving guests as business levels demand.
  • Assists management in performing inventory counts.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of one year experience in foodservice position required; previous experience as a stand attendant or stand manager preferred.
  • Previous cash handling/cashier experience required.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.

 KNOWLEDGE, ABLILITES AND SKILLS

  • Excellent guest service skills; ability to adhere to Universal Service Standards.
  • Ability to complete required pre-employment sanitation and alcohol training.

  • Reports for work, is at stand on a timely basis and is in complete uiform with clothing and personal appearance neat and clean.
  • Maintains high standards of customer service by greeting all guests and being genuinely interested in their needs.

  • Serves alcoholic beverages responsibly and according to SAVOR policies and procedures.
  • Obtains the proper tender amount for each transaction and exchanges goods for tender.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Properly prepares, measures, and portions all food items in a timely manner. Complies with all quality standards, department rules, policies and procedures
  • Utilizes and sets up kitchen equipment to prepare food items such as: knives, slicers, whips, pots, pans, warmers, steamers, grills, ovens, etc.; properly uses ALL kitchen equipment
  • Ensures proper food temperatures are maintained, food is stored correctly and ensures freshness and quality of all menu items
  • Packages all products to proper specifications    
  • Performs opening, closing and side work duties as instructed and according proper guidelines
  • Keeps workstation and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked
  • Follows and upholds all health codes and sanitation regulations

The Dishwasher reports to the Executive Chef, maintains the dish room and dishwashing machine, and washes and properly stores all dishes, in accordance with SMG’s applicable standards and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Washes dishes, glassware, pots, pans, flatware and kitchen items, using dish machines or by hand
  • Places clean dishes, utensils and cooking equipment in storage areas
  • Cleans work area including equipment, floors, walls and cooking area
  • Ensures that all levels for sanitizer on dish machine and pot sinks are at specific requirements for health standards
  • Keeps all kitchen wares storage areas clean and orderly
  • Removes trash from dish room and transports to dumpster and cleans and sanitizes garbage cans 
  • Stocks supplies such as food, dishes, and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators and salad bars
  • Assists with accepting delivery items and storage of such items
  • Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks

Operations Crew Member

JOB TITLE: Operations Crew Member

SMG, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has excellent and immediate openings for Operations Crew Members at SMG Lincoln. The Operations Crew Member reports to the Operations Supervisor and is primarily responsible for performing work as needed to clean, maintain and prepare for events at the facility.  Duties include skilled and semi-skilled tasks, which often require heavy lifting and a high degree of physical exertion.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in all aspects of the conversion process in preparation for events.  Duties may include setting up and tearing down flooring, portable chairs, barricades, staging, tables, other furnishings and equipment.
  • Perform varies duties to ensure the day-to-day operations of the facility are met.  These include, but are not limited to loading/unloading delivery trucks, transporting trash and waste to proper disposal area and replenishing supplies.
  • Assist with pre/post event cleaning and janitorial tasks including, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, vacuuming, spot cleaning, washing, stripping, carpet cleaning, window washing and waxing.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks such as painting, patching, re-lamping, replacing ceiling tile, replacing filters, etc.
  • Report irregularities, discrepancies, safety or damage concerns or loss of property promptly to Operations Supervisor.
  • Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, ABLILITES AND SKILLS

  • Demonstrate knowledge of practices and procedures related to event set-up and conversions; typical methods and techniques for cleaning and maintaining the facility; and proper use and care of hand and power tools.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Pre-event suite set-up including chafing dishes, plates and silverware, televisions, lighting and overall ambiance in the suite 
  • Verify and set-up all pre-game orders 
  • Identify suite host and properly introduce yourself 
  • Take and place game day food and beverage orders 
  • Set-up and check on game day food and beverage orders and serve guests until the end of the event
  • Replenish food, beverages, condiments and utensils as needed 
  • Maintain standard of orderliness and cleanliness of suite throughout the event 
  • Obtain signatures from the host on charges in a timely manner 
  • Clear all items from the suite and clean all surfaces and chafing dishes in suite 
  • Reset suite for next function, complete closing functions and check out with supervisor or manager
  • Other duties may be assigned.

SUMMARY

The T-Shirt is responsible for patrolling all areas of arena property and parking lots, securing doors, ensuring the safety of all guests, employees, and contract labor while on premises, and securing property during move in/out of trade shows, conventions, or events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Stand guard during events.  Tour post periodically to ensure safety of patrons, staff, vendors, participants, and others on premises.
  • Handle any disturbances or problems that arise during events at the facility.  If necessary, and in conjunction with local law enforcement, escort disruptive individuals off the premises.
  • Report incidents to supervisor so incident report can be written.
  • Inspect premises for signs of intrusion or tampering.
  • Tour facility, examining doors, windows, and gates to ensure that they are secure.
  • Assist with crowd control inside and outside of arena.
  • Assist in the control of unusual circumstances and events during fire, storms, riots, and other emergencies.
  • Respond immediately to emergency situations-answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
  • Act in a professional manner with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons, and others encountered in the course of employment.
  • Ensure that every client, patron, and vendor receives the best services possible.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, ABLILITES AND SKILLS

  • Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
