Concessions Worker

SMG, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has excellent and immediate openings for Concession Workers at the Pinnacle Bank Arena. The Concessions Worker reports to the Concessions Manager and operates the concession stand in accordance with SMG’s policies and procedures and is responsible for providing a quality product to patrons in a courteous, friendly and efficient manner and utilizing our Guest Service Standards and Responsible Alcohol Service in all transactions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Follows Concession Manager/Supervisor’s assignments for opening procedures and food preparation
  • Prepares food and beverage items using proper procedures and sanitation guidelines
  • Is cost conscious, does not over-portion and records all waste
  • Keeps work area and equipment neat and clean
  • Properly cleans equipment and follows the Concession Manager/Supervisor’s closing instructions
  • Properly records all transactions via the point of sale system and inform guests of amount owed.
  • Reports for work, is at stand on a timely basis and is in complete uiform with clothing and personal appearance neat and clean.
  • Maintains high standards of customer service by greeting all guests and being genuinely interested in their needs.
  • Acquaints guest with itmes for sale and upsells and adds on.
  • Serves alcoholic beverages responsibly and according to SAVOR policies and procedures.
  • Obtains the proper tender amount for each transaction and exchanges goods for tender.
  • Places the guest’s bill on the till and counts back change.
  • Ends transactions in a positive way.
  • Shows flexibility in rotating to other stands as assigned.
  • Sets a good example in cooperation, patience and effort.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Cook

POSITION: Cook

SMG, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has excellent and immediate openings for Cooks at the Pinnacle Bank Arena. The Cook reports to the Executive Chef and prepares and serves hot and/or cold food items, in accordance with SMG’s Universal Service Standards and applicable Operational Standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Properly prepares, measures, and portions all food items in a timely manner. Complies with all quality standards, department rules, policies and procedures
  • Utilizes and sets up kitchen equipment to prepare food items such as: knives, slicers, whips, pots, pans, warmers, steamers, grills, ovens, etc.; properly uses ALL kitchen equipment
  • Ensures proper food temperatures are maintained, food is stored correctly and ensures freshness and quality of all menu items
  • Packages all products to proper specifications    
  • Performs opening, closing and side work duties as instructed and according proper guidelines
  • Keeps workstation and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked
  • Follows and upholds all health codes and sanitation regulations
  • Uses waste control guidelines and records all waste on spoilage sheet
  • Performs other duties assigned

Dishwasher

The Dishwasher reports to the Executive Chef, maintains the dish room and dishwashing machine, and washes and properly stores all dishes, in accordance with SMG’s applicable standards and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Washes dishes, glassware, pots, pans, flatware and kitchen items, using dish machines or by hand
  • Places clean dishes, utensils and cooking equipment in storage areas
  • Cleans work area including equipment, floors, walls and cooking area
  • Ensures that all levels for sanitizer on dish machine and pot sinks are at specific requirements for health standards
  • Keeps all kitchen wares storage areas clean and orderly
  • Removes trash from dishroom and transports to dumpster and cleans and sanitizes garbage cans 
  • Stocks supplies such as food, dishes, and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators and salad bars
  • Assists with accepting delivery items and storage of such items
  • Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks
  • Assists in cleaning and preparing various foods for cooking or serving as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Environmental Services Attendant

The Environmental Service Attendant report to the Environmental Services Supervisor and is primarily responsible for cleaning and waste/trash disposal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintain restrooms and/or areas of the facility before, during, and after events.
  • Perform cleaning and janitorial tasks as required or assigned. These include, but not limited to, replenishing supplies, sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, vacuuming, washing and waxing.
  • Empty trash and wastebaskets. Transport trash and waste to proper disposal areas.
  • Make minor repairs such as painting, patching and replacing light fixtures and filters, when applicable.
  • Set-up & tear-down of tables and chairs for events.
  • Assist with event set-up, tear-down and clean-up.
  • Clean restrooms and replenish supplies.

Knowledge, Ablilites and Skills:

  • Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form

Operations Crew Member

SMG, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has excellent and immediate openings for Operations Crew Members at SMG Lincoln. The Operations Crew Member reports to the Operations Supervisor and is primarily responsible for performing work as needed to clean, maintain and prepare for events at the facility. Duties include skilled and semi-skilled tasks, which often require heavy lifting and a high degree of physical exertion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Participate in all aspects of the conversion process in preparation for events. Duties may include setting up and tearing down flooring, portable chairs, barricades, staging, tables, other furnishings and equipment.
  • Perform varies duties to ensure the day-to-day operations of the facility are met. These include, but are not limited to loading/unloading delivery trucks, transporting trash and waste to proper disposal area and replenishing supplies.
  • Assist with pre/post event cleaning and janitorial tasks including, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, vacuuming, spot cleaning, washing, stripping, carpet cleaning, window washing and waxing.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks such as painting, patching, re-lamping, replacing ceiling tile, replacing filters, etc.
  • Report irregularities, discrepancies, safety or damage concerns or loss of property promptly to Operations Supervisor.
  • Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed.

Knowledge, Ablilites and Skills:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of practices and procedures related to event set-up and conversions; typical methods and techniques for cleaning and maintaining the facility; and proper use and care of hand and power tools.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Follow all policies/procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules, regulations and emergency procedures established at the facility.
  • Meet the physical demands of the job. Must perform strenuous physical duties at times, including lifting, carrying, moving and climbing.

The Suites Attendant reports to the Food & Beverage Premium Services Manager and maintains organization and cleanliness of suites and assists guests in accordance with SMG’s Universal Service Standards and applicable Operational Standards.

Qualifications

Ideal Candidates must have strong verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor.  They must be self-motivated and be able to stand for long periods of times.  Candidate must be personable and guest service driven.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Pre-event suite set-up including chafing dishes, plates and silverware, televisions, lighting and overall ambiance in the suite 
  • Verify and set-up all pre-game orders 
  • Identify suite host and properly introduce yourself 
  • Take and place game day food and beverage orders 
  • Set-up and check on game day food and beverage orders and serve guests until the end of the event
  • Replenish food, beverages, condiments and utensils as needed 
  • Maintain standard of orderliness and cleanliness of suite throughout the event 
  • Obtain signatures from the host on charges in a timely manner 
  • Clear all items from the suite and clean all surfaces and chafing dishes in suite 
  • Reset suite for next function, complete closing functions and check out with supervisor or manager

Premium Services Manager

POSITION:                Premium Services Manager
DEPARTMENT:         Executive

SMG, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for a Premium Services Manager at Pinnacle Bank Arena. The Premium Services Manager reports to the General Manager, and oversees all event service and operation activities for luxury suites and premium seating. This position is responsible for providing the best customer service possible to the Club Seat holders, Suite holders and Loge Box holders; retaining their support and keep them renewing their contracts; and managing, recruiting, scheduling, coordinating, training and deploying Concierge staff for all premium events at the facility. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Includes the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manages concierge during specific events to resolve customer-related issues
  • Gains knowledge of Suite/Loge/Club clientele in order to provide excellent customer service
  • Work closely with ticket office to ensure ticket integrity and high levels of service for premium seating clients, ticket coordination
  • Responsible for ticket fulfillment, utilize Ticketmaster and Archtics ticketing system as a database for account history, ticket orders
  • Accountable for updating and maintaining arena ticketing system with current client information
  • Assist in developing and delivery of promotional emails through mailchimp and TM Messenger software
  • Plans and monitors special events/value-added programs and gifts for suite, loge and club seat holders
  • Assists in developing the policies and procedures manuals for the concierge staff
  • Responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing all service and operation policies, procedures and programs;
  • Assists in the development and coordination of premium food and beverage functions.
  • Administers premium services that includes Premium Garage parking
  • Serves as a liaison with other event staff affecting the suite levels, including Security, Maintenance, Event Services, Food & Beverage and Guest Services departments and teams;
  • Provides on-going communication and problem resolution to customers throughout the events and daily contact on issues dealing with event announcements, account changes, suite décor and maintenance;
  • Manages suite signage: gathering and preparing equipment and signs;
  • Monitors and implements suite, loge and club inventory and major maintenance of suites and loges;
  • Assist clients in fulfilling additional ticket requests

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing responsibilities include overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these above-mentioned functions.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.B.A.) in business administration and/or other degree related to Public Relations and Hospitality; or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of 1 year management experience in customer service with excellent communication skills.
  • Minimum of 1 year industry related experience.
  • Ability to listen and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence
