About The Event

Lincoln Children's Zoo is excited to announce the largest free family event the community has ever seen. This summer, the Zoo will celebrate 50 years during Zoobilee, a free family event at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Saturday, August 8 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Featuring
Larry the Cable Guy
The Okee Dokee Brothers
Recess Monkey
And More!

"Lincoln Children's Zoo has been celebrating community for 50 years," said President and CEO John Chapo. "We were founded entirely by the citizens of Lincoln in 1965 and have since grown to serve millions upon millions through the generosity of our community. That is why it is so important for us to say thank you to our community during our 50 year celebration by sharing this amazing event with them."

Other festivities of the event will include a kids' zone, family food, performances by family entertainers, a live bird show featuring bald eagles, animal shows and other various activities.

Lincoln Community Foundation is assisting in funding this event. "We wanted to give a gift to the people of the community in celebration of the Lincoln Community Foundation's 60th anniversary," Barbara Bartle of the Lincoln Community Foundation said.

Zoobilee will take place 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Aug. 8 at Pinnacle Bank Arena where guests can access free parking. More details and the schedule of the event will be released as they become available. For more information visit LincolnZoo.org.

"Remember, on Saturday, Aug. 8, we're going to celebrate!" said Chapo.

Zoobilee is made possible through a partnership with the Git-R-Done Foundation.
